Biche Friday, everything to know about our participation

For several years now, we have been participating in Biche Friday, the French equivalent of Black Friday but with a more refined touch.

While crucial for many brands like ours, Black Friday faces intense criticism and even controversy.
Can a company be considered "responsible" if it takes part in Black Friday?

The answer is YES! And we want to explain once again the reasons that motivate us to join this commercial operation every year.

The key issue is stock management: producing just enough. Until now, we produced small quantities with our manufacturer, adjusting based on demand through weekly restocking. The health crisis was followed by a geopolitical crisis that has complicated and extended production times. From 4 to 6 weeks, we’ve gone from 12 to 18 weeks. This means we have to take more risks: producing larger quantities and bearing the financial burden of unsold stock.

Like any business, we inevitably face fixed costs that cannot be reduced. When a pair doesn’t sell and remains in the logistics center, it has consequences... We must find solutions to push these models toward sale as much as possible. Sales, private previews, and Black Friday are part of these strategies.

It’s tough for us, but it’s also challenging for you. We’ve all noticed it—everything has increased, which inevitably impacts your purchasing power. So, here at Pied de Biche, we try to see the positive. Christmas is approaching; why not take this opportunity to discover all our models at attractive prices? You're supporting our business while indulging yourself!

Feel free to contact us via customer service or social media if you want to learn more. We’ll be happy to discuss this with you.
