Wedding, baptism, cocktail, evening or family ceremony: certain occasions call for a pair of dressier shoes. This collection brings together a selection of models designed to accompany these different moments. At Pied de Biche, our formal shoes for women are made in Portugal from carefully selected European leathers. Pumps, sandals, ballerinas or babies allow everyone to find the model adapted to their style and the course of the day.

Ceremony by type of shoe

Depending on the season, the reception location or the desired height, several silhouettes are available to you. Each model has been designed to accompany special occasions with elegance.

Ceremonial pumps

The pumps remain a reference for the most formal ceremonies. Their timeless silhouette easily accompanies weddings, cocktails or gala evenings.

Ceremonial sandals

The heeled sandals naturally find their place during ceremonies organized in fine weather. They accompany an outdoor reception as well as a summer evening.

Ballerinas and ceremonial babies

The ballerinas and babies are an alternative to heeled models. They appeal to those who prioritize comfort while maintaining an elegant look.

How to choose your formal shoes?

What heel height for a ceremony?

Heels between 4 and 7.5 cm generally offer the best balance between comfort and elegance. Higher heights are more suitable for parties or people used to wearing heels.

What color shoes for a ceremony?

Golden or ivory shades easily accompany daytime ceremonies. Black, patent or metallic finishes naturally find their place in the evening. Beige, champagne or powder pink shades remain easy to wear during a civil wedding.

How to be comfortable during an entire ceremony?

We recommend wearing your shoes a few days before the event so that the leather softens naturally. For a full day, mid high heels are generally the most comfortable to wear. Some people also choose to provide a second, flatter pair for the end of the reception.
